About Us

We are a multi-award-winning company that reimagines play and therapy for early years learners and people with additional needs. Our first product is Cosmo: a platform of interactive IoT devices, iPad applications and data analytics tools used in education and elderly care settings.

Cosmo helps train cognitive, communication and motor skills through interactive games and activities. The product is already in the marketplace and is being used by families, schools, care homes and therapy centres in 20 countries. The company is now entering its scale-up stage and is looking for a great all rounder to assist and support in our growth.

  • Georgios Papadakis
    Founder & Chief Product Officer

    Georgios Papadakis is an award-winning technology entrepreneur who for the last decade has focussed on building interactive tech for the performing arts

    and to help children and adults with communication and motor skills needs. Georgios is experienced in working across education and social care and is driven by helping schools and families access effective solutions for their needs.

  • Damian Woodward
    Chief Executive Officer

    With roles such as VP Sales and Marketing at TomTom, Director of Sales at Whirpool Global VP Sales at ROLI, Damian has led domestic and international growth

     Damian has led domestic and international growth in both digital and hardware technology, from start-up to scale-up and turnaround. He is also CEO and Founder of MatchDay digital, a marketplace for premium digital sports magazines. His passion outside work is very much focused around football. He has been very involved in both playing for as well as being a lifelong supporter of (AFC) Wimbledon, for whom he has been quite involved behind the scenes since their rebirth in 2002. He otherwise really enjoys music and insists one day he will be able to play the guitar properly, having a late life ambition to be a pub singer in his retirement. 

  • Susan Speller
    Partnership Director

    Susan is a seasoned business developer and relationship manager.  With wide ranging sector experience including marketing agency; intermediary & trade association;

    promotional risk and transformation, she thoroughly enjoys bringing people and companies together.

    Outside of Cosmo; Susan is a keen gardener and lover eating shellfish.

  • Ewa Bukowska
    Community Engagement Manager

    Ewa is an education practitioner focusing on technology adoption to support the daily lives and education of neurodiverse children and young people.

    Ewa has worked in different settings on the verge of education and technology and is passionate about creating accessible and inclusive learning environments. Ewa is also a SEND Programme Manager at Ignite Hubs, a UK-based charity, where she develops programming resources and offerings for children and young people with Additional Learning Needs. Ewa’s passion for education was sparked by her older sister in their teenage years who encouraged her to tutor children in their neighbourhood. She is also a younger sister to a brother with Down Syndrome. In her free time, Ewa takes every opportunity to travel, listen to jazz music and do yoga.

  • Sanjana Khemka
    Jr. Product Manager

    Sanjana has a background in Child Psychology and Early Education. Over the last 7 years, she has worked in the early intervention

    and education sector in India, US and now the UK.Her experience with children with special needs in India has driven her towards creating educational content for families. It brings her immense joy to work with children and families.

    Socialising is key to her work-life balance and she likes to dance, travel to offbeat places and enjoy different cuisines.

  • Alexandros Binopoulos
    Software Engineer

    Alexandros is a hands-on experienced full-stack software engineer with a diverse experience and background in software development.

    In the past, he was the owner of a software company dedicated to web and e-commerce development. In the years after that, he has created and been part of various startups and has contributed in building the IT infrastructure on each aspect of their development cycle. Front and back-end development, systems integration, mobile development and hardware communication. He has been a part of the Filisia team since 2017 and the excitement of everyday challenges never seems to decrease. He is interested in building things that can be fun and also enjoys the profound human capabilities of others in sectors like music, video, sports and literature.

  • Dimitris Fotopoulos
    Systems Engineer

    Dimitris is an Embedded Systems Engineer with almost 2 decades of experience in Electronics Design and Embedded Software Development.

    From 2003 to 2010 he developed Embedded Software for Telecom & Industrial applications. Since 2010, he has been designing electronics and software for Medical Devices. He is collaborating with Filisia for the design of Cosmo since 2015.

Job Opportunities

    The Role:

    We are looking for an iOS developer responsible for the development and maintenance of our two iOS applications. Your primary focus will be the development of educational activities and features in our Cosmo Training app.

    In this role, you will join a diverse, multi-national team. You will be working closely with our engineering team and with colleagues that have background in education, healthcare and accessibility. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and the creation of quality and intuitive products is essential.

    This is a great opportunity to contribute to games projects that launch quickly, without being tied to the much longer development cycles that games development typically involves.

    You will:

    • Design and build applications for the iOS and iPadOS platforms
    • Help build our data platform (likely in partnership with the ML support of a major London university)
    • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
    • Collaborate with a team to define, design and own the delivery of new features.
    • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
    • Help maintain code quality and organisation and automation
    • Polish and maintain our current portfolio of games

    Necessary skills:

    • 5 years of professional experience
    • Proficient in Swift, and Cocoa Touch
    • Experience with Continuous Integration Server (Bitrise)
    • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (such as Git)
    • Experience with XCTests and XCUITests frameworks for unit and UI testing
    • Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services
    • Understanding of Apple’s design principles and Human-Interface Guidelines

    Preferable skills

    • Experience with SwiftUI
    • Experience with SpriteKit and AudioKit
    • Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards
    • Experience with performance and memory tuning with tools (such as Instruments)
    • Experience working with Core Bluetooth and BLE
    • Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
    • Familiarity with Cocopods, Firebase, Crashlytics
